FVP is a core team with a mighty network, ready to capture your story with care.
Hi, I’m Meredith Burns, Principal & Founder of Fort View.
I grew up in Cincinnati on a narrow, red brick street overlooking the Ohio River called Fort View Place. Nobody I knew lived within 30 minutes of me, but I appreciated the unique view experiencing things differently affords. My great grandmother was a Flora Dora Girl married to a boxer who turned out to be the bantamweight champion of the world. A lineage that has molded my love for both graceful and gut-punching storytelling.
For nearly 20 years I’ve created stories from different vantage points. First on Broadway as a special assistant to Tony award-winning producer Rocco Landesman, and then in the news industry in New York, Miami, and Detroit for CBS & Fox producing investigative, medical, fashion, and arts features.
I received my MBA in 2008 from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and then worked at Diageo as a brand manager for global wine, beer, and spirits brands.
The most rewarding vantage points? Ones where mission has guided my storytelling. Grappling with education reform issues and how to address them, for seven years I sat on the executive leadership team and headed the marketing department at Success Academy Charter Schools, a network of schools serving 20,000 children across New York City.
Throughout my career, I’ve interviewed celebrities and produced Broadway shows, documentaries, and commercials. I’ve brokered ambassador relationships with brands and influencers, and have led bold teams organizing thousands of people to fight for policy change. I’ve built websites, virtual schools, integrated media campaigns, and advocacy programs against insight and data-backed strategies. In all of this work, the thing I’ve loved most is collaborating with people who want to pioneer a different path and disrupt the status quo.
I can’t wait to help you tell your story.
